  • Mathematics at Jamiatul Ummah School


    The aim of the Mathematics Department is to:

    • develop mathematical reasoning – apply their skills and draw conclusions from mathematical information
    • communicate mathematically – show how they have arrived at their answers by using mathematical arguments
    • solve problems and make connections – devise strategies to answer questions based on information given
    • evaluate and interpret – answer questions considering the information given

     

    The Mathematics Department is a very successful department here at Jamiatul Ummah School. Our GCSE results are outstanding.

    • In 2019, over 66% of our pupils achieved 9-7 (A*-A) grades in Maths.

    At Key Stage 3, we follows the Pearson’s Progress in Maths Syllabus which we feel is challenging and engaging. It also effectively prepares our pupils for GCSE Maths. Topics include:
