At Jamiatul Ummah we want every student to feel safe so that they can achieve their potential free from harm.

If a student is worried about an issue that is occurring either at school or outside of school, we have many members of staff that can help.

Students can speak with any adult at the school that they trust or any member of our Safeguarding team. Students can see who these members of staff are by viewing the wellbeing displays that can be found in every area of the school.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Dr Ali Mahdi and our Deputy Safeguarding Lead is Mr Mizanur Rahman.

If you are a parent or another adult who has concerns about the safety of one of our students, please contact Dr Ali Mahdi, our Designated Safeguarding Lead via our reception on 0207 790 7878 or via email at a.mahdi(at)jamiatulummah.org.uk.

Please note that messages can only be responded to during school hours and the school term. Outside school hours, students can seek support via Childline on 0800 1111. In an emergency out of school hours, please call the police on 999.
